The Accu-Chek Advantage meter is about the size of a stopwatch, with rubber side grips. The measurements are 3.3″H x 2.2″W x .8″D; 1.8 oz with battery. Using Accu-Chek Comfort Curve diabetes test strip it requires 4 microliters of blood per test. It takes as much as 26 seconds for the result to be returned (quite a long time compared to most other glucose meters on the market). The device is not rated for multisite testing, making the fingertip the only place you can draw a blood sample from.
The storage capacity is 480 tests and the glucose meter is compatible with Accu-Chek data management tools. The Accu Check Advantage is often preferred on healthcare plan formularies so you may save money by investing in this meter.
